Nanda is Hungarian-Congolese, born and raised in Budapest, therefore, she is a native speaker.
In Hungary, she studied at Karoli Gaspar University, majoring in General Communication and Japanese Language and Linguistics with a minor in "Hungarologia"(Hungarology), aka "How to teach Hungarian to speakers of other languages." She has extensive teaching experience in Hungary that includes teaching Hungarian to Americans, Japanese, Africans, Indians and Chinese, as well as English and Japanese to Hungarians.
Since moving to Los Angeles in 2004, she has been translating and teaching Hungarian language to Americans in language schools, as well as private lessons. Currently, she teaches a childrens’group (Magyar Ovi) in West Los Angeles, as well as numerous private students. She is also the organizer of the Los Angeles Hungarian Language Meetup Group that has over 140 members.
